Quality Executive

Precision Pressing Manufacturers (PPM) is seeking a hands-on Quality Executive to join our team in Pune. We are an IATF 16949 certified leader in precision stamped components and electrical steel laminations. This role is for a practical, shop-floor oriented professional who values process discipline and effective problem-solving over mere documentation. As a Quality Executive, you will be responsible for upholding our high quality standards, investigating root causes, and driving continuous improvement across our manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications. • Execute and manage Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC) in a live manufacturing environment. • Perform root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone) for customer complaints and internal non-conformities. • Manage CAPA tracking and ensure effective closure of issues. • Audit quality processes and maintain accurate, traceable documentation. • Collaborate closely with Production and Tool Room teams to address quality gaps. • Drive the implementation of 7 QC tools and structured problem-solving (8D) on the shop floor.

Requirements

Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in an IATF 16949 manufacturing environment (Stamping, Sheet Metal, or Automotive preferred). Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Automobile Engineering. Strong, practical working knowledge of Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA). Demonstrable ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions. Ability to interpret technical drawings and perform dimensional inspections. Comfortable working on the shop floor; prioritize practical problem-solving over administrative documentation. Strong sense of ownership and discipline with a focus on logical, fact-based decision making. Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental coordination.
